The upshot is that I’m healthier physically, I’m healthier mentally, and while I can’t say that all of my good mental health is a result of cycling, it was cycling that lead me to the understanding and to the resources that got me where I am today. This certainly was not what I thought was going to happen when I was 25. Patrick Brady on his path to a career in cycling, and what it’s meant to him “It really was a strange journey to get to point where I’ve made a career for myself in cycling. We got to chat with Patrick about his journey in the cycling world, his struggles with depression and his journey to better mental health. Meg Shutzer is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Bike racing has taken her all over the world, but this adventure junkie is now embracing the journey of motherhood and staying a bit closer to home, mainly commuting to teach high school math at Petaluma High School and racing gravel for the Voler Factory Gravel team! Larissa is a two-time winner of the Leadville 100 MTB race. Larissa’s career started in triathlon and has arched through racing road, cross country mountain bike, ultramarathon mountain bike, and gravel. Larissa Conners is a lover of all things bikes, from commuting to work to racing XCO world cups. Kate lives in Vermont with her husband and two children. Kate is a trail runner, active dog walker, and kitchen gardener. She has served on several nonprofit Boards, currently BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont and Shelburne Farms. Kate earned a BA at Princeton University and an MS at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
